Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto Holds First WSOP Circuit Event in Toronto

 


Great Canadian Entertainment, a leader in Canadian gaming and hospitality, is excited to announce that the World Series of Poker, the richest, most prestigious, and longest-serving poker series, is heading to Toronto for the first WSOP circuit, which will be held at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto at Woodbine Racecourse. The WSOP circuit, in partnership with GGPoker, will take place from March 22 to April 1, 2024.


Great Canadian Toronto's WSOP circuit, which will feature a total of eight circuit-ring events, is expected to receive a total of $3.9 million, including a $2,000 main event with a total prize money of $2.1 million and a $35,000 high-roller event with more than $850,000. Great Canadian Toronto's new WSOP circuit builds on the momentum generated at the record-breaking 54th annual WSOP held last summer.

GGPoker, which sent 774 players to the main event at WSOP last summer, will exclusively run an online qualifying tournament and host branded ambassador at the WSOP circuit in Toronto, Great Canada, including local poker hero Daniel Negreanu.

The full schedule of events at the WSOP circuit in Great Canadian Toronto will be announced soon, with Great Canadian Toronto and WSOP stating that they have the right to cancel, change or modify any or all tournament events without notice.
